An online campaign has begun to get a giant ‘slip n slide’ in Abbey Park this summer
This could either be the best idea ever, or an accident waiting to happen!
A Facebook campaign has been started to petition for the construction of a ‘massive slip ‘n’ slide’ in Abbey Park.
For the uninitiated, a ‘slip n slide’ is a huge plastic sheet that is constantly hosed with water so people can, well, slip and slide down it.
The petition began yesterday on Facebook and has already gained well over 100 followers.

It would be a great idea to get a slip and slide in Abbey Park – but the health and safety and cost implications suggest it may be wishful thinking, unless the council decide to get involved (which is unlikely, to say the least!)
