General Election 2019: All of the Leicester and Leicestershire constituency candidates

In case you didn’t know yet, there’s a General Election taking place on December 12 2019 – the first election to take place in December since 1923.
Today (14 November) was the deadline for all parliamentary candidates to register to campaign in their respective constituencies. The deadline passed at 4pm today, so we now know every candidate in Leicester and Leicestershire who will be vying for your vote next month.
Perhaps the biggest news to hit Leicester politics in the run-up to this election was the withdrawal of Keith Vaz from the Leicester East constituency – a seat he has held for over 30 years. His replacement as Labour candidate for Leicester East was announced this week as Claudia Webbe, so it will be interesting to see how well she fares and what the change in Labour’s vote share is when the results come in.
