The exploits of Leicester City this season are being felt across the footballing world, and two of the clubs brightest stars have been recognised by no high an authority than the makers of the Fifa 16 football game.

At the start of the season we revealed Leicester City players’ Fifa 16 ratings – and now star striker Jamie Vardy and playmaker Riyad Mahrez have had their scores updated.

In recognition of their astonishing form this season, EA Sports have moved to upgrade Vardy to an overall rating of 75 (from his previous 71). Riyad Mahrez has gone from 73 to 76.

With a season that continues to bring plaudits and records alike, the ratings on a computer game may not seem like a big deal – but to modern players (who no doubt spend a lot of downtime on gaming consoles) it does matter.
